The Idaho Horror Film Festival accepts original film submissions from horror, thriller, suspense, schlock, or science-fiction genre. Documentaries, animation, and music videos related to the horror genre are acceptable. IHFF’s platform is based on five categories:
Feature-length- 50 minutes or more
Shorts- 49 minutes or less
Foreign- shorts, animation, and feature-length films

Spud and Guts, a stand-alone category for Idaho filmmakers
This category is designed to spotlight the work of Idaho’s filmmakers. There is no submission fee for entries made in this category, provided you are from Idaho or an Idaho resident. This festival was created with Idaho in mind! We will consider documentaries, shorts, feature-length, animated, and music videos for acceptance into the festival. Works in Progress and student filmmakers are encouraged to submit.

Idaho Horror Film Festival is proud to be partnering with InkTip. Through InkTip qualified producers, directors, agents, managers, and actors are able to more easily find good scripts and screenwriters gain more exposure for their work. More than 200 feature films have been made from scripts and writers found through InkTip.
InkTip will provide a prize package of one (1) InkTip Script Listings for the winners of Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, and the Best "Spud and Guts" Film to assist in providing them exposure. InkTip Script Listings provide writers/filmmakers with the opportunity to get their scripts read by InkTip’s extensive network of producers, reps, managers, agents, and other qualified industry professionals.
